Hi, Honeybee! I am a newbie! I wrote my memoir: Ghost Child to Triumph (from a child with no voice, to someone who speaks up against injustice) and have decided that now….is the time to get it published. I am worn out from doing my homework (who to use for an editor or a self-publisher)…..I have overcome and become…a wounded-healer because of my life experiences. Except for 3 years, I have lived with verbal and physical abuse. After 31 years of abuse, I got the courage to get a divorce……..www.churchabusepoetrytherapy.com was the result of spiritual abuse; my church of 31 years voted me out of membership, with my name up on a big screen, followed by the words:”Conduct Unbecoming a Child of God.” I fought the system for 18 months, trying to prevent the pastor (of disaster, LOL) from “counseling” any more women, because 2 of the women wanted to commit suicide.
I am the moderator of an abused survivors group, and won a scholarship (age 61). I was 1 of 10 recipients out of 1,600 women in the U.S. and Canada. It was easy; all I had to do was write about my life….growing up in a 120-year old tenement house with cockroaches and rats (they didn’t visit often…fear of my mother, LOL), snow which came in through a crack in the wall, a physically and verbally violent mother, never knew my father, molested by a drunken neighbor while sleeping, had my hand held over an open fire by another drunken (woman) neighbor….no phone, car, refrigerator or bathroom (toilet in the attic; ever so pleasant in the dead of night, LOL)

I’ve managed to write a book about abuse with a wicked sense of humor!
